Part 5 of 5 Council deliberation clips. On October 11, 2005, the Mountain View City Council discussed medical marijuana dispensaries. These five clips, Part 5.1 to 5.5, show the 50 minutes the Council wasted running for cover. Note that no one proposes anything, and it’s all excuses.

The City of Mountain View successfully obfuscated the medical marijuana issue for a year before it finally went to the City Council. Here’s a series of video clips showing the City Council meeting. We eventually lost on the issue, mostly because some council members who claimed to be supporters just didn’t know what the heck they were talking about. In this intro, City Staffmember Nadine Levin presents false information about Santa Cruz dispensaries. Greg Perry, now gone, proves his ignorance.

Here’s the public comments wrap-up, Part 4. Part 2 is a twelve minute segment I still have to break up into two clips. Part 2 has the most powerful speakers. The City of Mountain View successfully obfuscated the medical marijuana issue for a year before it finally went to the City Council. Here’s a series of video clips showing the City Council meeting.
