Provo Utah, Protesting for Marijuana law reform, educating Mr. Police officer on the subject of marijuana law reform, and the statistics on marijuana harm. This police officer decided to harass me while I was protesting, for obviously no other reason than just just harass me. It was a good opportunity to inform this officer on some basic facts surrounding marijuana law reform.

It angers me that cops allways bring up the under the influence while driving thing. If anything your more cautious when your high!!! Unless of course alcohol is mixed into the equation. If anything Alcohol should be illegal, But Noo, They government makes too much money off it to do that! And most politician need to get drunk just to deal with the Bullshit they argue for.

@tiptep Naw, because I had business to tend to. I didn’t have time for being illegally detained by this moron who obviously didn’t know the law.
If I had time for a civil rights violation, I would have just walked away. But I was not in my home state, and I didn’t have a lot of resources in Utah to fight this.
But next time, maybe I will challenge him more.
My best approach in the situation that I was in to educate this moron on film, to upload on YouTube.
As soon as he said “you’re not being charged with anything” you should have just walked away. He had no reason detain you, and you’re not obliged to be polite to him. Don’t complain about him wasting your time.

@KenJones1961, the cop had no right to ask me to not block the side walk. The ordinance does not say that. It says that I am not to obstruct pedestrians, which I didn’t and there was no proof. THAT is why he didn’t cite me. He wasted an hour of tax payers time/money to harass me, that is the true crime here.
Why doesn’t the cops harass the Little Caesars Pizza guy who does the same thing on a much busier street!

Wow that’s not right. Complain about A parking spot . There’s not another car there to need that spot. The cop checks his background for what reason? If he was wanted why would he protest by himself with a big sign in front of the court house. That’s sad the cops saying your wasting my time.
