marijuana intoxication just makes you relaxed and euphoric, similar to alcohol. But colors are more vivid /beautiful, and music sounds more vivid and interesting. Regulation would ensure safety, and prevent criminals from profiting off of what the people agree and want. Did you know there was a time alcohol was illegal? and it put criminals in business, until alcohol was made legal again in the US? It is time for some common sense regarding marijuana classification, based on scientific studies
prohibition and classification of drugs should be based on scientific studies of harm /addiction, not public opinion /emotion. Non-biased scientific studies have confirmed marijuana is less addictive /harmful than legally classed drugs ie. alcohol, cigarettes, Tylenol, caffeine. legal drugs like alcohol, you can reach overdose levels above intoxication (ie. alcohol overdose is alcohol poisoning). Cigarettes are highly addictive. Marijuana is impossible to overdose, not one single known overdose
Marijuana is not addictive, in fact even caffeine is rated more addictive than marijuana. Highly addictive /harmful drugs (that are both highly physically harmful and detrimental to one’s social life) such as cocaine and heroin are so addictive,once the user begins, they no longer have the choice to use the drug because it’s HIGHLY addictive. But we are talking about autonomous decision makers who choose to be intoxicated by marijuana instead of more harmful /addictive legally classified drugs
Responsible autonomous decision makers should have the right to make decisions about themselves in the privacy of their own home. users of highly addictive drugs ie. cocaine are not autonomous decision makers, they have no choice of use it’s SO addictive. A child isn’t yet an autonomous decision maker, isn’t yet able to make fully informed /responsible decisions. effects of drug use on a growing person’s body ie. during pregnancy can be much more harmful than on adult
prisons overflow with ‘non-violent criminals’. lose otherwise productive member of society, other taxpayers must pay for him to sit in jail. Driving drunk should be illegal, not drinking! Disproportionate punishment for marijuana use. A person could spend life dedicated or studying, but if chose marijuana intoxication for recreation instead of other more harmful and addictive drugs, never again able to find respectable job.’non violent criminals’ more punishment than child molesters /murders?!
Alcohol Prohibition inadvertently put violent criminals in business. Al Capone was only able to give people what wanted/couldn’t obtain legally. The people knew alcohol was harmless in moderation for recreation,wanted to make own decision and disagreed with law. Alcohol has been part of human culture for centuries. Violence is crime. But government budget is so unbalanced yet wages costly/inefficient ‘war on drugs’ to prevent marijuana intoxication (again less addictive/harmful than legal drugs)
we send ‘non-violent criminals’ into overflowing prisons. Instead of educating/treating people addicted to highly harmful drugs, and clearly mentally sick, we manufacture criminals. Police have better things to do with their time and are there to serve and protect us and the community, even if from ourselves and highly addictive and highly harmful drugs. Marijuana is not highly addictive, and is not highly harmful. The most harmful thing about marijuana use is the disproportionate punishment
because moderation /balance of anything in your life is key. Addiction to TV /Videogames causes many students to drop out, don’t take the time to study, effort and dedication. spending a Friday night drinking or smoking is completely harmless, it’s when you use any drug (legal or illigal) for escapism or with abuse that you run into a problem.Moderation /responsible balance is key. Marijuana is rated less harmful /addictive than legally classified drugs. it’s intoxication is similar to alcohol
Everyone here that smokes it acts the same. I have yet to find a nice person who smokes weed.

also there are generally lots of good things about marijuana. it can be treated as a medicine, legalizing it would probably decrease criminality and life would be easier for those who want to smoke it. there are a lot of other things too just use google and find out.
well marijuana affects people differently. i guess most of the people feel relaxed and forget about the troubles of life for a second. i agree marijuana isn’t something really amazing and it doesn’t give you huge amounts of pleasure, but that’s the main reason it’s not that dangerous after all. so when people want marijuana to be legal they want so because of the principle that there’s more dangerous drugs available and they have to get punished while it’s not harming anyone
What’s so fun about marijuana? I haven’t seen one person say why they like it.. All they say is that it’s cool. I tried it once I just felt normal but had anxiety from it.. What’s so cool about anxiety? And what’s so cool about feeling normal? Explain with your best sentence… And how come in afroman’s because i got high song one lyric states: “i ruined my whole damn life because i got high” and he seems happy about it? Explain now!!

I am from Mexico. …..decriminalize the consumption of small amounts of drugs constitutes a step in the right direction. NOW YOU MUST DO IT…. DON’T CARE ABOUT YOUR CONSTITUTION….. YOU ARE A BABY COUNTRY ANYWAY!
What this would do is reduce the spending of the mexican law enforcements. too much tax money being spent on campuring individual with small amounts of drugs. this action would free up law enforcement to concentreta on the real big amount of drugs.
